carbon fiber filled PTFE rod is made of PTFE resin filled with 25%
carbon fiber, the carbon fiber gives improved compression and wear
resistance. In general less filler is needed than glass fibre to produce
the same effect and it also has excellent chemical resistance. 25%
carbon fiber filled PTFE rod materials have higher thermal conductivity
and a lower coefficient of friction than their glass fiber counterparts.
25% carbon fiber filled PTFE rods have a long wear life and excellent
extrusion resistance. As their glass fiber equivalents, and it is used
in seal components for static and dynamic application and against
chromium plate and steel.
